Leopold Company Desk

By patricktara, 2 May, 2011
Description

Unfortunately I do not have to much information on this desk, besides that it was given to use by a neighbor who had lived most of his life in Upper Saddle River/Saddle River NJ.  Desk is sold and very heavy.  Dark Stain.  Has some scratches and wear....would probably look magnificent if re-finished.  There are (2) drawers on the left (one double height), a pen/paper/pencil drawer in the center, and 3 drawers on the right (of which the 2 bottom ones are either stuck or locked shut).  There are also 2 leaves that pull out at each side (see pics).  Brass plate on inside of center drawer reads 'Leopold Company Burlington Iowa'.  Interested in finding out more about the value, since my family is moving across the country and will need to sell/find a new home for it.

Re: Leopold Company Desk

Patrick, Thank you for posting this information about your desk. I have a very similar item and am interested in getting in touch with other owners since it's such a rare piece. Are you still intersted in connecting with information? Do you still have the desk? Do you know it's current whereabouts?

Best regards, tribex
