Tables of this type generally date from the second quarter of the 20th Century, but remained in and out of production following the dictates of fashion for the next 50 years. The style is what's referred to as the 'Federal Revival style'. The style getting its name because such pieces used stylist motifs found on American Colonial furniture originally made 1620-1780. Mersman was a huge producer of tables, the largest producer of small tables of this type in the USA. This one is quite modern, value , about $100.00 at auction.
