New Amsterdam Silver Co Teapot #624

By lipbalm3, 21 September, 2010
Description

I dont have access to a camera right at this moment but was wondering if anyone knows what this teapot is worth? I dont think I would sell it or if it is even worth selling but with the times as hard as they are and xmas coming, i may change my mind.  This teapot is in excellent condition.  It was obviously well taken care of.  I bought some silver polish so I could display it as it is tarnished but a friend told me to leave it is it is until I find out more information on it.  Can anyone tell me an appporoximate value of this teapot? I would greatly appreciate it!

Thanks!

Re: New Amsterdam Silver Co Teapot #624

Not much demand for silver plate these days. The company that made this piece " Knickerbocker silver " began operations in 1900, the "New Amsterdam" mark was ione of their early marks. Whole teasets by this company often sell for under $100.00 at auction.
