Description
I recieved this table from my mother whom got it from her grandmother. I believe its from the early 50's possibly 40's. Im not sure as my mother didnt know much about it herself. It has a swivel top which conceals 4 small pockets (for poker chips im assuming). And it has leaf carvings in the knees.

It dates from the first quarter of the 20th Century and is in the Empire Revival style. Games tables like this remain popular will many other types of early 20th century tables have taken big hits to value. Here's a link for you:

Thanks very much for confirming the date. I do believe the precise model is worth a fair bit. A few years back I had come across it in an antique catalouge, no pic but the discription right down to the "leaf caved knees" was exact. And its worth was at 10k back then. I would really like to Discouver its true value before I attempt to actually sell it, as the money recieved will being to my kids :) Ill have to do more digging :D

I can save you a lot of bother, there's no way this piece is worth 10k, or anywhere near that amount, it's a mass produced factory made item. Even genuine Georgian games tables made during the late 18th century seldom sell for more than $5000.00 at auction. Of the 355 games tables we've seen sell so far this year only two sold for $5000 or more and they were genuine 18th Century pieces.
