POOH His Art Gallery. Full set of eight watercolor prints by E.H. Shepard with cover insert. In blue box with "$6.95 Pooh His Art Gallery Dutton" printed on the side. Back of box is blank. Watercolors by E.H. Shepard from A.A. Milne's "The World of Pooh" and "The World of Christopher Robin". In 1957, E.P. Dutton commissioned E.H. Shepard to paint the color prints that appear in the portfolio. Prints are 11 X 14.
Prints include: 1. Knights and Ladies. 2. Tigger and Roo are stuck on a limb. 3. Pooh does his stoutness exercises. 4. An anxious moment - Pooh and his friends watch for Eeyore to float by. 5. Pooh's Party. 6. Pooh and Christopher Robin rest in an enchanted place on the very top of the forest. 7. Pooh and Piglet as Eeyore tries to put the balloon into the pot. 8. Tigger cannot answer Pooh and Piglet. His mouth is full of haycorns.
Box cover in very good condition, very little spot damage. Cover insert and prints in excellent condition. Print number 7 was at one time framed; there is some discoloration around the edges from the matte that does not affect the image.
