This table was purchased in Charolettesville, VA in 2007. It was purchased from a wonderful elderly man who's wife was a collector. She had chair that originally went with the table (same materials & age) that she sold for an extremely significant amount to an interior designer in New York in 2005. This piece had not been for sale until after her death in 2007 and the husband was essentially just getting rid of a lot of antiques..."name your price". In any case, we'd never seen a piece quite like this one.
This is somewhat of a coffee table sized piece. It is very unique with a lot of extremely old nails driven through the top and wrapped metal belting around the top edges. It also has reinforced legs and two sawtoothed metal circles on the top. Lots of metal detailing all over.
We would consider selling this fantastic piece. Thanks for looking!
Re: Primitive, Rustic wood & Metal table
Can anyone tell us what kind of table this is? It's so unique and seems to be rare.
