Description

The other day, I bought a nice set of 4 cups and saucers, but I don't know anything about them (please see attached photos). I'm really hoping you'll help me learn something about this set! I found many 'Made in Japan' markings pictured on the Internet, but none that match the one on the underside of these.

Here are my questions:
  1. What time frame is it from -- '50s?
  2. What's the pattern name?
  3. Who manufactured it?
  4. What sort of bird and tree is depicted?
  5. Is the design hand painted?
  6. Is the set noteworthy in any way?

I'm excited to find out whatever I can about this teacup and saucer set! Please feel free to share this message with anyone you believe can help. Thank you!
