The other day, I bought a nice set of 4 cups and saucers, but I don't know anything about them (please see attached photos). I'm really hoping you'll help me learn something about this set! I found many 'Made in Japan' markings pictured on the Internet, but none that match the one on the underside of these.
Here are my questions:
- What time frame is it from -- '50s?
- What's the pattern name?
- Who manufactured it?
- What sort of bird and tree is depicted?
- Is the design hand painted?
- Is the set noteworthy in any way?
