Remington "Tins" used for printing pictures in a book

By tallgrass, 1 January, 2009
Description

These are what I beleive to be tins used in the printing process.  2 have remington's name along with the names of collins or evans respectively.  I did some research on those names and came across the book "a cowman and his code of ethics", printed in 69 and part of a series.  I ordered the antique book and sure enough, similar pictures with collins and remington's name.  I assume the tins I have were used for printing the pictures in another book in the series.

Any information on these is greatly appreciated
