I've never seen one of these before and all I can figure out is that it is a revolving book table. I really would love to know what time period it is from and what exactly it was used for (home? library?). Also interested in knowing it's possible value. It's solid oak and metal label underneath reads FERGUSON No. 4937, FBM CO HOBOKEN NJ.
