Royal Doulton Collector's plate

By lous4t, 3 May, 2010
Description

The front of the plate is a cobbled street with buildings down both sides with a blooming flowerbox on the right. The front of the plate looks like a colored photograph or painting, and the back of the plate is white. I do not have a box, or any receipts or anything from when it was purchased. My mother had it in her china cabinet until she died and now I have it.
It has the Royal Doulton mark on the back and from what I can tell it looks like it came from the time period of 1922-1959. It has the lion on the crown with Made in England immediately under it and over the Royal Doulton mark with the shorterlines between Royal Doulton and England, 2 on each side then under that it has English Translucent China, and under that in a different style of type Clovelly, under that in the same font and style of type it has North Devon then under that in a lighter font it has T.C. 1028
