Description I found this dresser and the nightstand/tv stand at a thrift store. I thought it would be a great project but was curious about the value before I attempt to refinish it. The bronze/metal plate inside the drawer says Manufactured by RWAY expressly for THE ALBERICIS. It has all the drawers, in the photo one is missing because I'm currently stripping it. The mirror is in good shape and also extremely heavy. Can someone tell me anything about these items. Other inet sites haven't been too helpful. Thanks.

I recommend checking out the furniture section of Craigs' List for all major cities. You will find photos of items similiar to this and it will help you determine value.

Your suite is in the French Provincial style and dates from the 1960's. The style is not currently in vogue and has rather modest values at auction. You might want to try stripping one drawer first, these were painted when new, the paint often going right into the grain and often is impossible to get it all out. The end result is a white haze all over which looks even worse when stained over. Lovejoy
