Description

Two small paintings on fabric, each signed by SL. We are not aware of the origins of this artwork, but they have been found in an American building built in 1922. There is a small run on the painting of the woman, hidden on the right side of her dress skirt.

History Found in the Quadrangle Club at the University of Chicago, completed in 1922 by the architect Howard Van Doren Shaw. We are not sure if the artwork was originally part of the Club's collection or if it was added later.
