Hello Recently stumbled across these figurines which were left to me back in '99 when my Grandmother passed away. The story, according to my aunt's is that these were purchased in France or Europe somewhere, not quite sure, by my Grandmother's Mother. She always referred to them as "Blue Boy and his Lady", but after searching using the limited info I had (hallmark)I wasn't able to find anything using "Blue Boy and his Lady" however I do believe after poking around online, that the hallmark, a blue straight line with an X at the top, that these are CH Levy and Co. figurines? After learning this, the only thing I've found is an exact pair that was auctioned 3 years back, but they were not painted. The description given on the auction was as follows:" 19th Century German Lady and Gentleman, 18th Century Dress, Volkstedt". A little additional info:- Figurines stand approximately 11" tall, with a round base that is approx. 5" across.- The base of the male figuring has what appears to be a dog with a crown over it, and the female figuring has what appears to be a stag/buck with a crown over it. - No markings except for the hallmark under the base, blue straight line with x at top.- Both figures have slight damage, the male has a spot on the top of the head where the paint is rubbed off (refer to pics), the female is missing a small piece from the sash at the back of the figure, she's also missing the tip of her index finger on her left hand. Any help you can provide in finding out a little more about these pieces would be greatly appreciated.

Re: Standing Male and Female 11" Figurines believed to be CH...
Anyone at least point me in the direction where I might be able to find out some information on these pieces?? I've wasted money on Kovells which had nothing on these, and spent in excess of $40.00 for online appraisals, and no luck there! If I can get any assistance to point me in a direction I might have some success, I'd greatly appreciate it.

There is not much information on the Charles Levy company, as far as i know it was only in business from 1876-1881 and reported to have operated out of Paris, but I've seen examples with the Levy mark along with late 19th Century German porcelain marks. This leads me to believe this company might have also decorated blanks from other makers. No huge value for them though, I've seen some pairs marked like this that have sold for at auction for less than $400.00.
