Stickley Bros Co Dining Room Chair

By MidwestmamaJil…, 4 December, 2012
Description

I pulled this Stickley Bros Co  Grand Rapids Michigan chair out of a dumpster. The company logo  is branded in black underneath the seat. There is a metal  plate exposed  on the outside leg with the numbers 1430 engraved on it, and the initials "l O" ( I believe) in gold underneath the seat. I believe it is oak, white oak, or possibly maple wood. The chair is small in size compared to other average dining room chairs, and heavy. It was full of cobwebs when I grabbed it, leading me to believe it was held for years in storage and thrown out because its finish us in bad shape, but structurally, it's sound. I am inquiring on the age, and possibly the line, as I have searched hours and find even a compatible chair like it.
