Description

I acquired this item at a local thrift store. I picked it up because it looked unique and had some age to it. I have tried to research online but I am unable to find anything. If you can provide me with a description, appraisal, or even some information to further my research, it would be much appreciated.

Medium metal? silver?
Distinguishing marks has a symbol which appears to be of some asian decent? There is a hallmark stamp underneath the top handle which sort of looks like an anchor or 2 capital T's layered over eachother.

They look like tongs for a pickle castor set, most are silver plated. You'd have to either have someone identify the marking or have the metal tested to determine its silver content. before a value could be determined.

Your response is much appreciated.  I actually have never heard of a pickle castor, so this put me in a new direction. This is just an observation, but by looking at most of the different varieties of pickle castors...the tongs all seem to be hand or tweezer shaped at the end, and not round. I will see if I can get a decent photograph of the hallmark later this evening to post. Thanks again!
