Trumpet in Connecticut

By BillyBobLilley, 27 April, 2011
Description

I am no expert but it does not appear to have any dings or scratches.  The entire instrument is tarnished inside and out.  Valves still pop up when depressed.  Top of valve buttons seem to have mother of pearl inlaid on top.  The mouth piece may or may not be original....seems to be out of place with the rest of the trumpet.  I am just trying to see if this trumpet is rare or ordinary and what it might be worth if cleaned up professionally.

Thank You!

It was my fathers. He was born in 1939. I think it may of been his dad's prior to that. It is in an old beat up case with two slide lock tabs on either side of the handle. There is blue fur lining the inside of the case. No other markings in or on the case.
