Description
4 drawer vanity with swivel mirror. Drawers are a tongue in groove type construction. Suspect the piece to be circa 1940's based on some World War 2 era items found in the grooves of the drawer guides. But not being an antique expert I'm in need of your input. Items found in the drawer guides were two OPA Red Point rationing tokens, and an old key.
Pardon the bad picture of the hardware, not sure how the black and white got into the lower part of the pic, but it's not something that is on the furniture itself.
Re: Vanity
Most like this one date from the 1950's, it's a moderen version of American Colonial that became popular after World war Two, made by companies such as Vilas. In some cases these pieces were branded witha company marking. We'd retail one like thid for about $400.00, bu they often go at auction for less than $150.00.
