Re: Vel Miller Seascape Ocean Oil Painting
I would recommending contacting the artist, Vel is still alive and has a website. She is known for her paintings depicting native Americans and western bronzes, this subject matter is very different from the works of hers I have seen, it is quite probable its from early in her career or was a special request piece. It is also possible the artist is not Vel and it could be a case of mistaken identity. Whatever the case she should be able to sort it out. Please come back here and let us know what you research discovers.
Re: Vel Miller Seascape Ocean Oil Painting
I tried to contact the artist through website and got no response. I wonder if there is any other way to get a hold of her. I know the painting is different from her other work. I think it is an early one or could have been a special request. My grandparents lived in southern California, near Vel Miller.
