I have this chair as well and can't find any info on it. I actually had it in a estate sale and someone stated that they had seen it in a museum somewhere. Not sure about that but would like any information if possible. I'm wondering if I should keep it.

JudyJoAnn, I've also come across the same chair. I'm curious if you've gotten a better idea of what this is since the time you've posted?

I have two of these chairs.  The story goes that my grandmother bought them along with a matching couch from a 2nd hand store in the late 40's in the Chicago area.  Unfortunately the couch didn't survive.

From the images it appears to date from the first quarter of the 20th Century when chairs of this type were popular. Examples in comparable condition often go at auction for under $100.00 these days.
