Description

This is a vintage porcelain decanter, hand painted, trimmed in gold.  It's a sheik atop of a camel.  It is stamped on the bottom, which says Germany, then a number, 6106.  Don't know what this number means, but it might be the authentication of the decanter.  The liquer goes into the decanter thru the top of the sheik's head, and comes out of the camel's mouth when poured.  The sheik is wearing a light lavender costume, with a pale pink cover,  and a yellow veil, as seen from the back.  The camel is knelt down with a white blanket over his back, and the part that shows down the front side of the camel is painted in gold.  This item is all in it's original coloring, nothing has been touched up.

History This decanter was found by my father under their old house when he was approx. 8 - 10 yrs old, which would have been around 1939 or 1940. They had lived in the house on a ranch in San Jose California, for about 5 yrs before he found this item. We have no idea how long it had been under the house before it was found. My grandmother cleaned it up and put it away for all these years.

you need much better pictures, plus a picture of the mark....my guess at this point, is that it MIGHT be from around 1910-15...can't say for sure as there is no detail in your pictures...this period there was great interest in the middle east and their art forms, so a bit of a revival period.  If you post better pic's, we might be able to give you more info.
