I am going to start off by saying I am in no way a collectibles or antiques expert. I have done a few hours of research and have located a jukebox identical to mine on eBay. According to my research my item is a Wurlitzer Sonata Model 1050, 1973. It was made in mexico. I have found appraisals up to 2004 that showed the item was valued at around $5000. My item is in great working order. A friend of mine purchased it a number of years ago I believe at an estate sale for $2500 without any records. They have put records in the machine and it works like its supposed to. The only thing different on my machine than the others of the same model I have seen is the Sonata label on the front glass, mine is missing. The machine is in no way perfect it has a few scratches here and there and could use a polishing. My friend is wanting me to advertise and sell the jukebox but doesn't have a clue what its worth. The eBay ad I found of the identical jukebox says that it is a Rare piece. Im looking to get an estimate of what the current fair market value would be and maybe some information on why the piece is Rare according to the other seller. The eBay URL is for the machine I have been talking about that is identical to mine. I have also uploaded some photos of mine sorry the pictures are a little dark should be going back to my friends house to get more pictures soon.
