Jackson painting of tall ship at sea.

Description

I  am no expert, but this  appears to be an oil  painting of a tall  ship signed by "Jackson."  The frame shows some wear and the back of the canvas has several small tan blotches as can be seen on the photo below.

Painting like this are

Painting like this are Decorator pieces that one finds at "Art on the Fence" or "Starving Artists" sales. The artist paints hundreds of renditions of the same image and sells them to a wholesaler who markets them cross country. Values are very modest, and as you've found they tend to be available in thrift stores for under $50.00.
