Description
found in my gradmothers figurine cabinet (she has passed) so I have no history. figure is of a child, girl, in a bathrobe sitting in front of a campfire (odd subject to me). the bottom has hand written under the glaze "made in unoccupied japan". Mainly white with coloring on hair, facial features, wood and fire.I've tried to search this label and can't find anything. about 3 inches high
Re: porcelain figurine
Occupied japan pieces were made after World War Two, they were for the most part mass produced cheap decorator pieces . Values for the figurines are still modest as they were made in huge numbers, of which a great many survive to this day. As you have posted no image I can only give you a rough estimate -$25.00- $40.00.
