I have a Barbour silver stand and bowl set that I would like to get some detail on, including estimated value. The stand has Barbour Silver Co, Quadruple Plate, 248 engraved in the bottom. The base is approximately 7 Ā½ inches in diameter at the bottom and 4 Ā½ inches in diameter at the top where the bowl sets in. It is 3 Ā½ inches high to the top where the bowl sets, and 6 Ā½ inches high at the handles.
The bowl is shaped somewhat like an open flower, and two of the āpetalsā fit between the handles of the stand. It is 12 inches in diameter, and 4 inches high. It is pure white on the underside, and the inside is more of a cream color. There is a rust/red trim around the inside edge that runs from 1 inch to 1 Ā½ inches in.
The weight of the stand is approximately 1 Ā½ pounds, and the bowl weighs 1 Ā¾ pounds.
It could have been a wedding gift in 1921, but may date earlier.
