Not much demand for these old space heaters, at one time most rural houses had at least one of them, at the time they were a "Step Up" between wood stoves and central heating. Most sell for under $100.00 if in good working condition.
i get a Coleman yest mod n: 871 oil burning the serial numb is 84796 and its in a bad condition , is it hard to fix it? and is it worth it to have it in the house?( gives warm in hard weather)
The cost to fix one would exceed what it would cost to buy another in good working condition. They are not very efficient as they burn more oil than a standard furnace.
I found a Coleman Oil Burning Heater in my garage. The model# is C828 and the seriel# is 816941. What can you tell me about this stove. Is it worth anything?
Most of these Coleman space heaters date from the late 1940's through the 1960's. values for them tend to be modest, a good working one oftens sells for under $150.00
