This is a German (albet typical of any Europian country) personal travel kit. even tho it does have 2 settings. It consists of 2 knives, forks,spoons a corer can opener,cork screw and napkins. They were I believe in use from late 1800's to twenties possibly later.Interestingly enough they were a gentelmans item and fit nicely into the inside jacket pocket or the portmantu when traveling.
Knowing what the hendles are actualy made of would help in determining the age of them. Now you know what it is you can do a search for them and get an idea of the value

Thanks for the info Vixalin. The handles I believe are wood with nice laquer on them.

I never knew you could get cruises from new york and go down to the caribbean, i'm pretty excited for my vacation coming up and not having to fly anyplace.
