Made in England "FAN" China set. Cobalt Blue with gold trim

By landre11, 19 December, 2009
Description

I know nothing about China sets and was wondering if anyone could identify this set for me. It looks old and is very beautiful. It is Cobalt Blue, green, and has gold trim. There is a total of 10 cups and saucers, 12 plates, and two square plates. The two square plates are 8 1/2" by 9 3/4" if you include the handles. The round plates have a diameter of 6 3/4". Saucers have a diameter of 5 1/2" and are 3/4" deep. Cups are 3 1/4" wide and 2 3/4" tall.

Re: Made in England "FAN" China set. Cobalt Blue with gold trim

Sorry, I will not be much help...but
My mother has this same set and I am looking for a replacement cake plate for her. It was her mothers in england and they always called it the crown darby set... I have looked through the royal crown derby and crown derby line and have not found the right pattern. I can give you an idea of age though. My mum says it is between 70 to 80 years old. The royal albert derby set is similar but not the same. Would love to know identity of this set too.
