My grandfather found the table in an old grainery on an old homestead. The homestead it was found on is now being turned into a museum. (in Prince Albert Saskatchewan.
Tables like this date from the turn of the 19th Century, generically referred to from the 1980's onward as "Golden Oak", after the color.
Values for tables of this type peaked in the early 1990's, and have slid somewhat since then. At auction today they often sell in the $300.00 - $500.00 range.
