2 Victorian Era Peterson's Magazine Hand Colored Fashion Plates. 1850-1854. Originals in Frames behind glass.

By trishap, 6 April, 2010
Description

I found these really neat vintage pictures at Goodwill. I paid 5.00 for both. After bringing them home, I wanted to clean the glass on the frames, so I took the pictures out of the frames, and noticed handwriting on the back of both that says the year. 1854 and what they are. Peterson's Fashion Magazine. I looked up Peterson's Magazine and found out it was published between 1854 and 1859. These look to be hand colored and are definately old by the type of paper they're on. Once I saw the date on them and cleaned the glass carefully they went right back in the frames. I am interested in seeing how much Fashion Plates from this time are worth.

Re: 2 Victorian Era Peterson's Magazine Hand Colored Fashion ...

you definitely needed to get these submitted and appraised a major auction house like Sotheby of New York.
