Mantel clocks like this tend to be French and date anywhere from 1850+.

This is definitely as French mantel clock from the late 19th century. The case is brass and the base is marble. The movement is the typical French round rack and snail type made from about 1860 until well into the 20th century. Value is hard to judge but my best guess would be about $400-$500 at auction
