Antique Meat Tray

By IslandStyle, 21 July, 2010
Description

This tray looks like silverplate with some copper showing through, and I was told it was a meat tray. Engraved in the middle of the plate are three initials and Sept. 5, 1905. There is a small mark on the back of the tray that I cannot read. The tray has four feet.

Re: Antique Meat Tray

There is no demand for silverplate with badly worn plating, it's almost impossible to sell unless it goes in a boxlot of other items. What some dealers do is paint it and sell such trays a decorative items.
