Description
It seems to be a teapot or water pitcher. It polished up nicely with some brass cleaner. The pitcher is hammered brass. The handle has a grooved texture. There is a small imprint on front. Prices on ebay seem to vary from under $20 to over $2000. I really love it, but would sell for the right price. Any information on it's history & origin would be greatly appreciated.

Did you ever sell this item or have it appraised? I'm interested in how much it is worth since you picked it up at the "Thrift Store"
Re: Hammered brass persian arabian water pitcher tea pot
Stuff like this is still sold in Import/ Export outlets, dating it is difficult because it's been made for the tourist market since the turn of the 19th Century. For this reason it seldon sells for very much money unless there is some provenance to it to indicate a famous event or owner. At auction these often sell as part of box lots just to move them, which is why they often can be seen inThrift Shops for less than $20.00

What was this appraised at? Are you selling this? If so, how much?
