Small red ceramic jug with Kite Mark from 1856 with hunting scene

By MattB, 13 October, 2010
Description

This is a small ceramic jug or vase. It is reddish in color with a black embossed fox hunting scene. I have found the registration mark dates it from 1956. This is really all I know. Thank you to anyone who can help me identify and value my item!

Re: Small red ceramic jug with Kite Mark from 1856 with ...

The pottery mark on the bottom of your jug is close to one I have. Your jug is made August 16, 1856.

IV means ceramic.  I have a blue jug with the same design and it is L=1856, R=August, D = day which is 7,  E = bundle number which is 5. I have no idea of the value, it was my Grandmothers.
