The Dninig Room set is made by Drexel , underneath the table is says Casualtone 754, The finish is a light color that almost looks like a glaze or stain over a very light wood. It has 6 chairs with a shield Back Design , two arms chairs and 4 side chairs. The base of the table between the leg supports has a Lyre Design witht he spindles within the lyre and on the tips of the ends of the legs that rest on the floor have brass covered tips. the table has a drop leaf on each end of it with three leaves that fit into the center. I believe the table has 4 legs supports with this design so when it is pulled out to its full length is has enough support. I originally thought the set was made by Drexel Heritage but the stamp inside the Drawer just says Drexel.
The Buffet Server has teh rounded mid center drawers then squares off on the ends where there is one silverware drawer on the top of each side and a single door cabinet on the bottom where you can hang glasses in it with one shelf. The center has 4 rounded front drawers that pull out with dark hardware that looks to be brass with an oval design anf small pull that lefts up. The set is in excellent condition and I am looking to see what it might truly be worth. I do not have pictures at the moment but could forward some tomorrow. I believe the set is 1940-50's but not positive.
Thanks Rob
Re: Drexel Heritage Dining Room set
Sounds like a Federal Revival style example, if it's stamped "Drexel Heritage" it post dates 1974. The company became " Drexel Heritage" in 1974. Anything marked "Drexel" predates 1974. Post some images and I give it another look
Re: Drexel Heritage Dining Room set
I have a set to sell as well. Table with 6 chairs and sideboard. Also CasualTone.
Would love some input on what you listed yours for before I list. The table's veneer top has some chipping and shows wear. Chairs have been recovered and are in pretty good shape (6 total, including 1 king chair). Thanks in advance!
