This is a buffet cabinet with a drop down bar in the middle. As you pull the handle the front drops down (becomes a shelf) and the top raises on hinges revealing a mirrored back and shelf bordered in a red detailed leaf pattern. There is a siver rail on the shelf and hardware attached to the top for bar tools. There is also the original light & bulb, although it doesn't work anymore. A door on both sides conceals a shelf (one shelf has a tag reading 'SUNDRIES' and the other with 'LINEN'.) There are 3 drawers in the middle of the cabinet, the two top slightly smaller than the bottom one.
There are some scratches on this piece, some made recently (much to my horror) when the delivery men brought it into my house. Could do with some TLC if worth the restoration price. Which would be useful to have advice about if also available :)
The Heron Son crest with the NRY i have deciphered as being Henry Ronson, but i am not able to find very much information about him or his furniture business - everything about the Ronson family is relating to his son Gerald & Heron International!! Very frustrating. If anybody could shed some light upon this piece of furniture, and the maker/distributer, and also a valuation, i would be most grateful!! :)
Re: Henry Ronson art deco Cabinet (& bar??)

Re: Henry Ronson art deco Cabinet (& bar??)

Re: Henry Ronson art deco Cabinet (& bar??)
Cleaned up we sell these for over $600.00 and up, at auction they generally go for under $300.00.
