Re: Antique chest of drawers
Anyone recognize this? I'd like any information you may have! What do you think it's worth?? Thanks!!!
Re: Antique chest of drawers
It's not that old, unlikely it predates the mid 1920's, It looks older than what it is because it's patterned after American Federal style furniture made 1780-1820. Ones like this go at auction for less than $300.00.
Re: Antique chest of drawers
Thank you for your reply. Could you tell me anything else about it? Thanks again!
Re: Antique chest of drawers
Not much else to tell, most furniture makers produced similar lines in Colonial, Federal and Empire Revival styles during the 20's and 30's. Without any markings it's pretty much guess work to determine a maker.
Re: Antique chest of drawers
Thank you, Lovejoy, for the info on this chest of drawers and also the matching desk. You helped my friend determine an asking price for both pieces!
