I have four Cassina/Frank Lloyd Wright 606 Barrel Chairs in cherrywood stained walnut, each stamped and numbered on verso Cassina FLW certified by Foundation. Inset fabric upholstered seat cushions with impressed Cassina label, 32"H x 20 1/2"D x 21 1/2"W.
Wright first designed the Barrel chair for the Darwin Martin residence in 1904. Slight modifications were made to the design for the Herbert F. Johnson residence in 1937. These chairs are manufactured after the Herbert F. Johnson House Wingspread.
these chairs are currently being manufactured in Italy, but Cassina can no longer export them to the United States.

Well the good news is your chairs still sell for close to what your paid for them at auction @ $800-950.00 each. I haven't seen any retail lately to give you a value, but probably about $1500.00 a chair.

The most recent sale I could find for this chair was 2011 when one sold for $800. Other auction records from 2007-2009 were between $633 on the low end and $1116 on the high end.
