Would be more easy to identify if there were some pics. Thanks!
Re: Antique Secretary
I apologize. I attached a photo but apparantly it will not open and I do not know how to fix the problem. Would it go against site policy if I emailed you a photo?
Re: Antique Secretary

Re: Antique Secretary
I think I did it. Do you see a picture now?
Re: Antique Secretary
Would you mind taking a picture of the joints of the drawers. Sometimes you can tell the age of furniture by the joints. Are you sure there is no labels? Any numbers or signs?
Re: Antique Secretary
I will be happy to do that once I get home. This was the only picture I had on my phone. Thank you so much for your help. I will put up a couple of more pics this evening.
Re: Antique Secretary
More pics posted and there is a label The Furniture Shops Grand Rapids Michigan
Re: Antique Secretary
Furniture Shops of Grand Rapids, Grand Rapids (1921-1925)
secretary desk Hampton Shops.
It looks like the Furniture Shops of Grand Rapids, sold their furniture at Hampton shops in NY.ONLY.. Now here is the problem I am having. I can not find any furniture that was ever painted with Crackling style, I thinking someone painted this to look antique.. should be in oak.
I am not a expert, hope someone that is, reads this and then we will know..Good Luck
