Lane Cedar Chest

By chris031480, 27 November, 2013
Description

Both of my parents are passed on and I have to sell a lot of their old things.      They had this Lane Cedar Chest in their room and there is no paperwork.  I have no idea what year it is and I can't find a similar one when I google images.   I need help to find out how much it may be worth.

Thank You

Re: Lane Cedar Chest

The serial #, read backwards, will tell you the month, day and year it was manufactured.  If it has 7 numbers, the last number indicates which plant it was made at.  Example

2235150  = 2 / 23 / 51 / 50  shows it was made on May 15, 1932 at plant #2.  This number is found on the outside bottom of the chest.
