I purchased this vase at an estate sale a few days ago. It is 12 inches tall and weighs 6.5 lbs. I am hoping to find help identifying its maker. Thanks in advance for any help.
There is not much chance of finding a maker with out a label or marking, some only had paper or foil tag, but most of the best know and most valuable examples will have etched markings on the base. Examples like this one with ourt markings often go at auction for less than $125.00.
Thank you for the comments. I didn't think it would be easy to figure out with out any markings or labels. I bought it because I thought it was pretty, and I only paid 5 bucks for it so I might just put some flowers in it and enjoy it!
That is a beautiful vase. It has a pinwheel design. If you buy crystal with no marking, the best way to check is replacements.com. You can click on the place where it says help identifying your pattern and give them your e mail address and they will contact you a few days later with all the possibilities and you then can determine from there which one it is by checking the measurements. They are all just a bit different because they have to be in some way, so they won't be sued for patented design infringement. Good luck. I will buy it for 15.00 right now,but you will do much better if you look it up. Part of the key to finding out is using the correct language describing it. It is a 12" lead crystal vase, pinwheel design with a sawtooth edge.
Re: lead crystal vase
