Black Powder Horn

Profile picture for user sweetjinx
By sweetjinx, 17 July, 2014
Description

Wondering if anyone can tell me anything about this powderhorn.  The engraving is real, and the horn weighs about 1 lb.  The orginal owner sold it around 1975, so it's probably around that age.

Well taken care of, so my question is, what is the value of these two.

Re: Black Powder Horn

I beleave the horn is real from 1764 the leather looks replaced.. now if you could find out what Ft Washington This David was in, and Who David was, it might make it worth more.. But you can find a few names and ft named Washinton.. Looks like most of the small ones sell for $50.00+ and the big ones  $100.00+.. Did the owner do reinactments? some of these guys like the real horns,, Good Luck
