Hi Ron,
I'm not sure when you posted this re: the copper elephant plaque. I grew up in the Northern Transvaal in South Africa. My parents bought a similar very large copper elephant plaque in 1978 or thereabouts. People would regularly come across from Zimbabwe with truckloads of various items for sale. My parents plaque depicts a herd of 11 elephants coming towards you through trees. I am not sure of the dimensions, but I think it is 6 feet x 4 feet. Did you ever receive an appraisal amount on yours? Did you find a buyer?
