Re: Antique 1949 Singer Sewing Machine with Sewing Cabinet.
I am not an appraiser, but a shopper.
I just bought an electric Singer Model 201-2, 1940's model, which looks similar to yours. (I could not tell what model yours was and that can make a difference, at least from my shopping experience).
Mine had been totally reconditioned and totally rewired. I paid $200 for it locally in Denver, CO, USA. These are heavy, about 45 lbs, because they are made from cast iron, so to pay shipping would be pretty expensive. It runs so quiet and even sews leather! Mine is a US made one and I did not want the cabinet, so mine is in a desktop box instead of the cabinet. I also got a buttonholer attachment thrown into the deal at no extra cost. Looks like you have an attachments box, don't know what attachmets are in it, but have seen boxes similar on Ebay for $10 up to $75 for between 5 to 12 attachments.
