It was decorated by Joe Nekola (J.N.) in the 1940s for Jan Plichta, whose London firm will have ordered this pig from the Bovey Pottery in Devon where Wemyss was made post 1930, after having closed in Scotland the same year.

I don't have the specific price yet but Lyon and Turnbull appraised it for ÂŁ2500 to ÂŁ3000.I'm open for reasonable offer though.
