Materials: cherry, walnut, burl, cedar, maple
Treasure Chest. Guest Room Bed & Breakfast
Factory certified "Pressure Sealed"
Push button and top lift edge, push back to glide open. The lid stays are made of cedar not metal. This chest has quality metal hinges, green felted tray and lined with a very generous layer of cedar blank. It has rarely been opened and has an overwhelming smell of beautiful cedar. There are a few scratches on the top of the lid. If you like I can remove then.
The front of this chest has a light colored figured maple center with almond and walnut angled sections to the sides. A band of zebra wood runs along the bottom of the chest above the base. This zebra wood band is repeated on the front of the waterfall lid. The lid top is a single chevron pattern with notched molding that runs all around. This chest has a cherry base that is taller than most, 6" instead of 4". This makes the chest stand a couple of inches taller than most other chests of the period. Notched molding feet match the lid trim molding. The original copper seal is in good condition. The puch button, lock and hinges are original and in perfect working order. Serial number 640110, or January 10th, 1946.

Re: Classic Design 1946 Lane Cedar Chest - Waterfall Top
I believe I have the same chest, I have the key for the lock to. Where did you find the price on it? I am new at this. Never cared in the past, but now starting to wonder the value of some things I just don't know where to begin.
