Description
Vintage glass chicken waterer. At least 20-30 years old, used to water quail. The glass bottoms say Safeway on them. I have several sets and several more bottoms with jars. How much do you think a set would sell for? How much for just a bottom?
Thanks!
Jodie
Re: Vintage Glass Poultry/Chicken Waterer
They are a tough sell at any price. Once a very common farm and barn item, the supply far exceeds the demand today. Can usually find them for just a few cents to a few dollars each at mid west flea markets. The jar is even more common.

I have one that is double stamped. Once with SAFEWAY and a second time with the SAFEWAY lighter and crooked. Does that make the dish any more valuable?
Re: Vintage Glass Poultry/Chicken Waterer
Not as far as l'm aware, demand last peaked for glass sealers and related glassware back in the late 1980's and has been in decline since then.
