Profile picture for user Lovejoy
By Lovejoy, 25 March, 2018
Accurate Description of Item
One Violet Parkhurst Seascape titled "After the storm"
Appraiser Remarks
Violet Parkhurst (American, 1921-2008) painted a huge number of Seascapes like this. Violet Parkhurst was born in Vermont and studied at the School of Practical Arts in Boston, at Baylor University, with Frida Kahlo in Mexico City, and at Los Angeles City College. For some 45 years she owned her own gallery in the Ports of Call Village in San Pedro, California.

Currently the greatest number of them trade hands at Fine Art Auctions, generally selling for under $1000.00, galleries will of course list them at often three times this amount. We'd recommend a replacement value of $1500.00
Estimated Value
$1500.00
