Re: Original J.M. Garrison signed and matted hand colored...
John Marcy Garrison (my grandfather) attended the California College of Photography in Palo Alto and graduated (along with my grandmother Sadie Freeman who did the hand tinting) in 1905. He moved to Palms, California, where he had his business in his home. He won several ribbons for his photography, and conducted his photography business until his death in the 1960's. He regularly sold his photos to Yosemite & Curry Company as well as The Cambridge Cupboard in Carmel.

Marian,
Do you have any other information on your grandfather. I am writing an article on him.
Thanks

Sjones,
What would you like to know? Perhaps between my brothers and myself we can answer any questions you may have. We lived next door to this set of grandparents until their deaths, and we do have some family information available. Since this method of contact is so slow, you may contact me at my email: [email protected]
