I received these chairs from an old neighbor when he passed. They came straight from his house which was a pristine time capsule.

Very odd looking chair, has quite a mix of styles thrown together, like Art Noveau, and Empire. Chairs like this are often late Victorian, but this one seems to have a lot of hand carving. Pieces like this were often made in the Eastern Colonies of Britain by local craftsmen and brought back by Diplomatic Corp/Military members after their posting was over.
