Description
I found this dresser at a habitat restore today. After hours of googling, ive found no match and absolutely no information regarding this piece. I did purchase it and will pick it up in a few days, so I cant look at it for further information. It has 8 drawers, a stamp/logo of Vanleigh New York in one of the drawers, 870 stamped on the back and K5946 stamped on the back of the hardware. Its heavy, and is in good condition other than a few nicks. I would love to know the wood it is made from, the age, the value or any information about this piece!
Re: Vanleigh 8 drawer dresser
It's in the French Provincial style, a style that seems to come in and out of fashion about every 30 years sinces it's original inception in the early 1700's. This piece most likely dates from the 1970's, most were maple cased with mahogany or fruitwood veneers.
